Inter Miami may have another gem on its hands.

The Fort Lauderdale-based team has a myriad of young players who have come up through the ranks and made an impact on the first team.

Benjamin Cremaschi, David Ruiz, Noah Allen, Ian Fray, and Lawson Sunderland all contributed meaningful minutes during Inter Miami’s 2023 Major League Soccer campaign.

With 2024 inching closer and more players being added to the roster, the Herons will need to balance its aging squad with young talent.

Thanks to the MLS SuperDraft, held on December 19th, Inter Miami picked up four highly rated youth players that could help the Herons on its quest to battle for MLS Cup next season.

U19 Northern Ireland striker Ryan Carmichael is ready for the challenges of MLS according to his ex-coach Matthew Tipton.

In a conversation with the Belfast Telegraph, the former Portadown manager backs the forward to do well at the David Beckham side, stating that the 22-year-old has the skill set to make an impact.

“Ryan is brilliant, a talented boy and athletically very good, he glided when he ran,” Tipton said.

“He’s an exciting player to work with and watch. People want to watch exciting players who get you off your feet and he is one of those players. He was a pleasure to work with, always worked hard and we knew he would progress in his career.”

Carmichael played his college soccer at Hofstra University, leaving Portadown after accepting a scholarship in 2020. He was subsequently drafted by Inter Miami as the 24th pick in the first round.

The lanky forward went on to score 46 goals and assist 18 times in 75 matches during his college career. Carmichael will now get to play alongside the likes of Lionel Messi, Jordi Alba, Luis Suarez, and Sergio Busquets.
