Inter Miami appointed Martino as Vice City’s latest head coach in November 2024 to replace Tata Martino. The Argentine is the Herons’ fourth head coach yet, following the likes of Phil Neville and Diego Alonso.

Mascherano replaced Martino following Inter Miami’s surprising exit in the first round of the MLS Cup play-offs by Atlanta United.

Inter Miami strengthened their senior technical staff in June 2023 by naming Javier Morales as one of Martino’s assistant coaches. The Argentine had briefly acted as Vice City’s interim head coach in June 2023, as well. He stood in following the Herons’ decision to sack Neville.

Morales moved up from his position as the head coach of Inter Miami’s Academy team into their first-team technical staff. He first joined Vice City to work as a youth coach in February 2019. It followed him spending just four months with FC Dallas’ Academy as a youth coach.

FC Dallas employed Morales in November 2018 for his first post-playing position after their ex-midfielder retired following the 2017 season. He had only spent one campaign playing at Toyota Stadium after a nine-year stint with Real Salt Lake, where he won the 2009 MLS Cup.

Morales moved to America to join Real Salt Lake in August 2007 after a year in Spain with UD Vecindario. The Club Atletico Lanus product had only played in his native Argentina prior to 2006. While his time at Real Salt Lake yielded 60 goals and 85 assists in 292 appearances.

Mascherano brought a number of his former colleagues to Vice City following his appointment as Herons boss – the first of those being Leandro Stillitano.

The Argentine is vastly experienced having coached at a number of top South American clubs including Independiente and Colo-Colo.

Assistant coach: Lucas Rodríguez Pagano

Another of Mascherano’s former colleagues, Lucas Rodríguez Pagano also joined up with Miami following the former Liverpool star’s appointment.

He worked alongside Stillitano and Mascherano within the Argentina youth setup, most recently at the 2024 Olympics.

Pagano enjoyed a successful playing career in Argentina, Brazil and Germany before turning to coaching after his retirement in 2014

Goalkeeper coach: Mauro Dobler

Mauro Dobler joined the Herons as the First Team’s goalkeeper coach after being the goalkeeper coach and goalkeeper coordinator for the Argentine FA from 2018 to 2024.

A former goalkeeper himself, Dobler enjoyed a very good career playing in his native Argentina – featuring for the likes of Estudiantes.

Head fitness coach: Pablo Blanco

Veteran fitness coach Pablo Blanco joined Miami in 2025 alongside Mascherano, having previously worked within the Argentina youth setup.

Throughout his coaching career, he has spent time working at Argentine giants Estudiantes and Independiente
