Julian Gressel has showered Luis Suarez with praise after the Inter Miami striker’s match-winning cameo on Saturday against DC United.
The forward was brought off in the second-half with the game tied at 1-1 as Suarez scored a brace to secure a big away win for Inter Miami against an in-form DC United side.
With no Lionel Messi to call upon, the Herons’ win was made that much sweeter with Inter Miami finally getting the job done this season without their superstar attacker and club captain.

And speaking to the Miami Herald after the match, Gressel voiced his approval of Suarez’s performance against DC United, which shifted the game for Inter Miami for the better.
The Herons had chances before the veteran striker’s introduction, yet Suarez brought the finishing quality in the final third that was needed to secure the three points for Inter Miami.
Gressel said when asked about Suarez’s impact from the bench for Inter Miami against DC United on Saturday: “You know the quality he has.
“He obviously brings a little different dimension in the sense that you want to give him a couple of chances and he might put one away pretty quickly. You can always feel a little burst of energy when a player of his quality comes on.”
