Inter Miami’s pre-season is in full swing.
The Herons have already traveled to El Salvador and Dallas as a part of their globe-trotting preseason.
On January 29th, Miami played a hard-fought friendly against Al-Hilal where they fell short 4-3.
After the match, young Homegrown player David Ruiz spoke with Deporte Total USA about the match, and why the team isn’t worried about the lack of wins during pre-season.
It’s something I’m trying to improve, the numbers, with goals and assists,” Ruiz touched on after the match.
“We know that it is a preseason, we try to improve every day for the upcoming MLS season,” he continued.
Miami will continue its preseason march on February 1st when they take on Al Nassr.
Inter Miami is building slow

Many pundits and fans around the league believed that Miami was the favorite to win almost every trophy they were up for. Unfortunately, every MLS team has its weaknesses.
For Inter Miami, it’s evident that they’ll need another defender to boost the squad. While there are plenty of good youngsters within the team, Miami looks like they need another central defender who can cover a large amount of space within the backline.
Already, the club has signed Nicolas Freire, but more reinforcements could be forthcoming.
