Lionel Messi does it again.
During Inter Miami’s match vs. Al Hilal, the Argentine once again showed off his magic.
Though the Herons lost the match, Messi’s quality still showed. In the 55th minute, the Argentine played in a sumptuous through ball to David Ruiz to tie the game up.
Though Miami lost the game in the end, the chemistry is slowly starting to build for the Herons as they get ready for pre-season.
Inter Miami, Messi’s 2024 pre-season tour
Inter Miami’s pre-season tour is in full swing.
The club has already taken trips to El Salvador and Texas and will now remain in Saudi Arabia for the next few days until they take on Al Nassr.
Though the team is only using these matches as fitness, there are some issues to be taken into account as the season creeps up.
In all three friendlies so far, the Herons have struggled on the defensive end. Although the season doesn’t kick off until February 21st, Miami’s lack of pace in the back is concerning. However, Miami does have the resources and will presumably be making some changes before the season kicks off.
Ultimately, based on the team’s body language coming off the field, there’s no cause for concern. Miami will undoubtedly fix the issues that plague them before they take on Real Salt Lake in a months time.
