Tata Martino has said Inter Miami’s 5-0 win against Orlando City was the Herons’ best game since the Argentine joined the club last year.

The Florida franchise took their state rivals down in stunning fashion as a Luis Suarez-inspired Inter Miami claimed a huge result to extend their unbeaten run in MLS to three games.

Sitting top of the Eastern Conference, it’s been a dream start to life in the league for Inter Miami, with Lionel Messi looking strong and new signings now starting to apply themselves to the squad.

And speaking to the Athletic post-match, Martino was full of praise for Inter Miami, with the coach labeling it as the team’s ‘most complete’ since his arrival last summer.

Indeed, it was quite the statement performance from Inter Miami, who blew apart their Florida rivals with ease as Orlando looked lost against Messi and company in Fort Lauderdale.

And for Martino, the display was the best the former Atlanta United and FC Barcelona manager has seen so far from Inter Miami, who this season could now make history in MLS.

Martino said when asked about his thoughts on Inter Miami’s performance: “It may have been the most complete game since I began coaching Inter Miami.”

Inter Miami’s start to the 2024 MLS season has been impressive, with the Herons unbeaten and now starting to look like the dream team many expected Martino’s side to become.

And after yesterday’s performance, fans will be hoping the Florida franchise can maintain this level of quality in every match, a feat that would be quite extraordinary.

As we know, Inter Miami are the favorites for every competition this season, and displays like what we saw this weekend will give supporters confidence that history is possible.
