Inter Miami claimed yet another win in MLS last night with Luis Suarez once again scoring two goals on the road to victory.
The Uruguay international extended his tally for the season to 20 in all competitions with two goals for the Herons in a 4-1 win at Soldier Field, pushing Inter Miami ever closer to winning the Supporters’ Shield for the first time in their history.
With Suarez already making Inter Miami history last weekend, the attacker once again solidified his status as one of the best forwards in MLS and a key reason why the Florida franchise are the favorites to go all the way in MLS Cup.
And manager Tata Martino shared what impressed him most about Suarez against the Fire.

Suarez’s overall game vs Chicago Fire praised by Inter Miami boss
Speaking to the press after the win, Martino showered the Inter Miami no. 9 with praise on his overall performance against the Chicago Fire, with the striker noted for how well he kept the ball moving around.
With 20 goals and eight assists in all competitions, Suarez’s first year in MLS has been a unanimous success, and Martino is pleased to see the striker delivering more than just goals for the Herons.
Martino said when asked about Suarez’s performance for Inter Miami against Chicago: “Luis was probably the best player on the field, but I don’t want to focus only on the goals because that is normal for him.
“I prefer to focus on his game as a whole, the ball circulation and all the passes to midfielders and because of that we can play in other parts of the field. The truth is he did that very well.”

Suarez is becoming as important as Lionel Messi for Inter Miami
With Lionel Messi missing over half the season due to injury or international commitments, Inter Miami have had to rely on others this year to get over the line in MLS, and Suarez has been a grade above the rest.
The veteran attacker is proving to be arguably Inter Miami’s most important player, with Suarez’s world-class finishing abilities and sheer soccer intelligence in the attack something that rival teams are struggling to cope with.
And with Messi soon returning for Inter Miami, the duo could make the Herons unstoppable in their quest to win the Supporters’ Shield and MLS Cup, with history on the table for the Florida franchise.
