Antoine Griezmann has detailed his desire to follow Lionel Messi to MLS after the Inter Miami star’s incredible start to life in Florida.

Speaking to ESPN, the Atletico Madrid attacker revealed that the arrival of the Argentine alongside Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba will help transform the league.

The trio all joined Inter Miami this summer with Tata Martino’s side now in the Leagues Cup final with Messi scoring an incredible nine goals in six games for the Herons.

And Griezmann could be the latest superstar name to make the move to MLS, with the French international often speaking about his desire to play in the US.

Moreover, the forward has again spoken publically about his eagerness to join MLS, with Griezmann a player who Inter Miami could target next year.

Griezmann said: “I think the arrival of Leo [Messi], ‘Busi’ [Sergio Busquets] and Jordi [Alba] is good for the league. That and signing younger players, especially from South America, it’s the best thing the league can do.”

Griezmann heading to MLS is seemingly a matter of ‘when’ and not ‘if, and with roster changes expected for 2024, Inter Miami could soon be in a position where they can sign the Frenchman.

With Messi already on their books alongside Busquets and Alba, Griezmann won’t need convincing on moving to Inter Miami, where Florida could be ideal for him and his family.

Whilst there could be rival interest, Griezmann’s comments have already put him on Inter Miami’s radar, with a move potentially already in the works for 2024.
