Inter Miami’s pre-season is underway, with the Herons missing a key player in Benjamin Cremaschi due to an international training camp with the USMNT.

Cremaschi and Inter Miami goalkeeper Drake Callender were named in Mauricio Pochettino’s January training camp for the USA national team with the Stars and Stripes set to play play friendlies this month against the likes of Venezuela and Costa Rica.

With Cremaschi one of Inter Miami’s most exciting youngsters, the 19-year-old midfielder will be keen to impress his new manager, Javier Mascherano, when he returns from this international training camp with the United States.

And the teenager has already shared what he is learning under Pochettino that will prepare him for the new MLS season.

Cremaschi ready to return to Inter Miami in top shape

Speaking to the Miami Herald, Cremaschi shares that he is ready to be ‘flying’ with Inter Miami since he has returned from training with the United States, with the midfielder ready to take his game to the next level under Mascherano.

Cremaschi said: “I want to be in both places, with a new coaching staff at Miami, too, to show what I’m capable of. But being here representing our country and being here with this coaching staff is super important. If I prepare well with the national team, as soon as I get back with Inter Miami I’ll be flying.”

With David Beckham sharing how much he enjoys watching Cremaschi play, the Inter Miami midfielder could become the next product from the Herons to make a move to Europe after the club-record sale of Diego Gomez to Brighton & Hove Albion this January.

And heading into the new season, Cremaschi will be determined to do all he can to help his boyhood club win as much silverware as possible, with Inter Miami aware that they have a potential superstar on their hands in the 19-year-old.

How important will Cremaschi be for Inter Miami in 2025?

Cremaschi was ever-present for Inter Miami almost the second former manager Tata Martino was appointed by the Herons in 2023, with the midfielder only going from strength-to-strength with the Florida franchise.

A player who has benefited hugely from playing alongside Lionel Messi at Inter Miami, Cremaschi has firmly established himself as one of the most exciting teenagers in MLS and a prospect who will go far in the game.

And in 2025 under Mascherano, Cremaschi can expect to be one of the first names on the teamsheet, with the midfielder too good and too promising to be allowed to sit on the bench and waste away at Inter Miami this season.
