Former FC Barcelona star Pedro has lauded Lionel Messi, Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba for making the move to Inter Miami this summer.

Speaking on Televisione Spagnola, the now-Lazio attacker praised his former teammates for switching to MLS, with Pedro saying: “They are very happy and are winning basically every game. They made a great choice.”

Messi and company have taken Inter Miami by storm having joined the MLS franchise in the summer, with the Herons winning the inaugural Leagues Cup and making the US Open Cup final.

Whilst a playoff finish might now be out of reach, Inter Miami’s fortunes have been transformed since Messi’s arrival, with Busquets and Alba also impressing greatly under Tata Martino.

And Pedro has seemingly been impressed with what he has seen from his former teammates, with Messi becoming a sensation in the US and brining Inter Miami along for the ride.

With the reputation of MLS hitting new heights, 2024 could see more high-profile names make the move to America and Canada, with Pedro a player who could be considering a move.

At 36-years-old, Pedro is still at the top of his game having been a regular in Italy now for the last few years with AS Roma and now Lazio.

And the former Barcelona star could be convinced to make the move to MLS in 2024, though whether or not Inter Miami will be his destination is another question entirely.

Indeed, Pedro has the quality to star in MLS for the right franchise, and many clubs will be willing to take up the attacker if he decides to make the transatlantic switch to North American next year.
