Inter Miami players are reportedly feeling positive after their 25,000-mile worldwide pre-season tour which concluded this week.

The Herons traveled to four different countries and played six games in what was a mammoth tour for the MLS franchise, with Inter Miami winning just one fixture.

For many, the pre-season tour has been an embarrassment for Inter Miami after a 6-0 loss to Al-Nassr as well as controversy in Hong Kong after Lionel Messi failed to play during that leg of the tour.

Yet according to AS, there is an air of positivity surrounding Inter Miami and their players having now returned to Florida, with the squad now due a week off before their final pre-season fixture against Newells Old Boys.

With the likes of Messi speaking out about how physically tired the squad is after traveling the entire globe, Inter Miami players will be excited about their upcoming rest back home in Florida.

And this update could hint towards the Herons being ready for the new MLS season, with Inter Miami kicking off the new campaign against Real Salt Lake in two weeks time.

Inter Miami returning to Florida with a positive attitude is a good sign of what’s potentially to come when the Herons return to action next week and heading into the MLS opener in a fortnight’s time.

Yet there’s still a risk that Inter Miami player way too much soccer and traveled more than needed in the sake of commercial and financial gain, with important lessons learned from this trip.

Although the likes of Messi and Luis Suarez are back in America in one piece, over players haven’t been so lucky, namely Facundo Farias and Sergio Busquets.

Indeed, Inter Miami will hope to be as strong as possible heading into the MLS opener in two weeks time, and the players have to ensure they’re taking it easy in the coming days leading up to the fixture.
