Inter Miami manager Tata Martino has issued an injury update on Diego Gomez after the youngster was seen hobbling against the LA Galaxy.
The Paraguay international made his second consecutive start for the Herons on Sunday as Gomez partnered Sergio Busquets and Julian Gressel in the Inter Miami midfield.
Yet coming off with five minutes to play, Gomez was seen in some discomfort as Inter Miami secured a late equalizer to bring a vital point back to Florida against the Galaxy.

And speaking to the press via AS after the match, manager Martino has issued an update on Gomez’s fitness after the result in California.
The 20-year-old midfielder is set for a breakout year in MLS this season having spent the majority of last year at Inter Miami out injured on the treatment table.
However, the update from Martino is a positive one, with Gomez only suffering from cramp, an understandable issue given that Inter Miami played two games in the span of four days.
Martino said when asked about Gomez’s fitness after coming off for Inter Miami: “Diego ended the game with cramps, but I believe it’s nothing serious.”

Inter Miami have started the new MLS season well, with a good win at home and a resilient performance on the road an ideal way for the Herons to kick-start their charge for the title.
And heading into Saturday’s Florida derby against Orlando City, Martino will hope all available players are fit and firing for the occasion, especially Gomez.
Indeed, it is clear that the Paraguay international will play a big role for Inter Miami this season, and the versatile midfielder recovering from cramp will be huge ahead of this weekend’s derby in Florida.
