Inter Miami officials are reportedly predicting Diego Gomez to have a big year having settled with the MLS franchise in the last six months.
The Paraguay international returned to Florida last summer having spent the majority of the year out on loan with Club Libertad, with injury limiting Gomez’s minutes at Inter Miami.
However, there’s excitement brewing over what the midfielder can bring to the table this season, with Gomez recently captaining Paraguay to qualification for the 2024 Olympics.

And according to AS, Inter Miami officials are now excited for what Gomez can become, with the Herons confident that the 20-year-old can explode onto the scene this season.
Lauded by Target Scouting as a ‘powerful’ player with a strong style of dribbling, there’s a lot to like about Gomez’s game, especially if the youngster is partnered with Sergio Busquets.
With Federico Redondo also reportedly close to joining, a new-look Inter Miami midfield with all the right elements involving Gomez could dominate MLS, a prospect that many supporters will be excited by.
Diego Gomez can become a superstar for Inter Miami this year

Whilst Gomez missed pre-season with Inter Miami to embark on Paraguay’s historic Olympic qualifying run, there’s no denying that the midfielder can be a success this season.
The youngster has all the right ingredients technically and mentally to be a real game-changer for the Herons, especially around quality midfielders like Redondo and Busquets.
Whilst injuries are always a concern, Gomez has shown this year with Paraguay he is fit enough to start from the off for Inter Miami, with the 20-year-old in great form heading into the new season.
Indeed, Gomez could be named in the starting XI next week in Inter Miami’s season opener against Real Salt Lake, a decision that Tata Martino might be thinking over already.
