Inter Miami’s offseason business ramps up.

After signing Lionel Messi, Sergio Busquets, and Jordi Alba in the summer, the South Florida club continues its preparations for the 2024 season.

Already, Miami has managed to sign iconic striker Luis Suarez on a one-year deal and is also in talks to bring wing-back Julian Gressel to the club.

Team CSO Chris Henderson stated in his end-of-year address that the organization will evaluate every position throughout the team.

“We’re evaluating every department in our front office and performance staff, to support [Tata Martino] and his staff and all the players to make sure we’re performing everywhere in the club,” he stated.

“Winning trophies and having high ambition is something we’ve had since day one.”

Inter Miami has a strong group of young, core players.

Benjamin Cremaschi, Noah Allen, David Ruiz, and Ian Fray (pre-injury), all contributed meaningful minutes in 2023.

Expect that number to increase as 2024 approaches. Miami needs the youth on its roster to cover ground for the team’s group of aging veterans.

Busquets and Alba aren’t getting any younger, so it’ll be imperative that the Herons search for talented young midfielders who can help alleviate the pressure the duo may face.

In the summer, the organization already managed to sign three highly touted youngsters to fill that gap: Facundo Farias, Diego Gomez, and Tomas Aviles.

With 2024 just around the corner, Miami hasn’t stopped there.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Inter Miami is in the hunt for Boca Juniors midfielder, Cristian Medina.

Medina, 21, is considered one of Boca’s brightest young talents, starting 21 matches in all competitions for the side.

Unfortunately, via Gaston Edul, Miami’s bid for the youngster was rejected. The South Florida club sent a proposal of around $7.5 million, which Boca Juniors swiftly declined.

It remains to be seen if Miami will send another offer. But, with the regular season only weeks away, the Herons will need to work fast.
