Julian Gressel has admitted that Luis Suarez has already proven doubters wrong this season since joining Inter Miami.
The Uruguay international joined the Florida franchise this winter from Gremio with Suarez reuniting with Lionel Messi and Sergio Busquets at Inter Miami, with Gressel also joining in the January window.
At 37, there was a lot skepticism surrounding Suarez over whether the veteran striker could succeed in MLS considering his age and recurring knee problems, yet the forward put these issues to bed on Saturday.

And speaking on the Player/Manager podcast, Gressel himself admitted that Suarez has already proven critics wrong after the former Barcelona star’s display against Orlando City, where the attacker scored twice and bagged two assists.
Indeed, it was one of the best performances of the season so far in MLS this year, and Gressel was impressed with what he saw from his new attacking teammate.
Gressel said about Suarez’s performance: “It’s what he’s done his entire career and he certainly showed in that six-minute span where he had two chances and scored two goals.
“It speaks about his quality, about him not being done and about his knees still working. He takes care of himself and he’s ready to go whenever the time comes, and he kinda shut some people up, even for myself a little bit.”
