Inter Miami are on course to enjoy a historic year in MLS with four games of the regular season left to play.
Ten points from the final fixtures will see the Herons become the new record-season points holders, beating the New England Revolution and breaking yet another accolade many thought was impossible this season.
With Lionel Messi back to full fitness and on the road back to his best, Inter Miami look unstoppable heading into the play-offs, even after two disappointing road results where the Florida franchise dropped points from winning positions.
And an MLS expert has now taken aim at one of Inter Miami’s big-money signings from this year.

Federico Redondo labeled as a disappointment for Inter Miami
Speaking on Extratime, Matt Doyle highlighted how Federico Redondo has been somewhat of a disappointment for Inter Miami this year having arrived from Argentina in the winter window for $10m and a massive reputation.
Son of former Real Madrid midfielder Fernando Redondo, the Inter Miami midfielder hasn’t hit the heights many expected this year from the 21-year-old, and more has been expected from Redondo given the hype the youngster brought with him.
Doyle said when asked which youngster has disappointed him this year: “Federico Redondo, I ended up having him sixth [on the 22 Under 22 list], and I loved this guy coming into the league. His father is one of my favorite players of all time, but he hasn’t been as good as I had hoped.
“He was terrible this weekend, and that game was fresh in my head when I was making my list. That said, he’s a starter for a team that’s going to end up on 73 or 74 points, he was sold for $10m for a reason.”

Redondo will want to prove his worth next year with the Herons
With rumors already suggesting that River Plate are interested in signing Redondo, there might be a chance that the Inter Miami wonderkid could be off in the January transfer window if things don’t improve between now and the end of the window.
However, if Redondo stays in MLS, the midfielder will want to prove his worth in a big way next year having endured a tough adjustment year in America with injuries and form playing a role.
Indeed, Redondo is a talented player who has the potential to become a star player in Europe if he cane get his development back on track, and another year with Inter Miami could be what the youngster needs to hit the heights many expect from the Argentine youth international.
