Inter Miami’s roster overhaul continues.

After trading away defender Kamal Miller for allocation money in early January, the Herons are making another move on their back line.

According to The Washington Post, Miami is trading Swedish defender Christopher McVey to DC United for an international roster spot and allocation money.

This makes the second defender to be traded away from the squad since Miller’s move to the Portland Timbers.

Miami will likely move for another center back before the Primary transfer window closes in April.

Already, Inter Miami has signed Luis Suarez, Julian Gressel, and Nicolas Freire with more signings anticipated to join the squad.

With the MLS season to kick off on February 21st for Inter Miami against Real Salt Lake, the Herons still have some work to do before they start their campaign.

Despite some preseason worries, Miami midfielder David Ruiz seems content with how everything is going.

“Of course we want to win, but we know this is the preseason, and we are working on getting better every day to the MLS season coming up,’ he told the Miami Herald.

“We are focusing on getting minutes and preparing. After watching Messi and Ronaldo on T.V. playing in these games is really special.”
