Inter Miami midfielder Benjamin Cremaschi has been called into the US Men’s U23 Olympic team in preparation for next summer’s 2024 Paris Olympics.
The US will take on Mexico and Japan in Phoenix, Arizona on October 11th and 17th as they get set to return to their first Olympics since the 2008 Games in Beijing.
Cremaschi joined Inter Miami’s academy in 2021, where he quickly shot to prominence. The 18-year-old then signed a two-year contract with the first team in November 2022.
On February 25th of this year, Cremaschi made his first team debut during an Inter Miami win over CF Montreal. Since then, the youngster has gained a permanent spot in Inter Miami’s starting eleven, helping them to the Leagues Cup title, the team’s first trophy in club history.
In late September, Cremaschi made his full US Men’s National team debut, coming off the bench in their 4-0 win against Oman.
Inter Miami’s wonderkid

Cremaschi has seen his star profile rise over the last year.
As an Argentine-American, playing alongside Lionel Messi is a dream come true for the playmaker from Key Biscayne, Florida. Cremaschi has been a crucial player in the Inter Miami midfield, particularly during the Leagues Cup, where he started in almost every match leading up to the final.
His physical presence, a knack for making late runs into the box, and endless energy are needed in an aging Miami midfield.
Cremaschi has also grown significantly as a player during the course of the year. He’s scored twice and assisted four times in 1,720 minutes of MLS play, putting him 2nd on the team in assists, just behind injured left-back Franco Negri.
Inter Miami knows how valuable Cremaschi is to their team.
The midfielder has a high ceiling, and now, has plenty of experience playing alongside legends of the game. As the team heads into 2024, Inter Miami should look to heavily lean on Cremaschi as his talent continues to grow.
