The Herons have enjoyed a hugely successful 2024, with their goalscoring exploits being a driving force of their success.
Inter Miami topped the MLS Eastern Conference with a record points tally of 74 points – scoring a whopping 79 goals in the process.
That however comes as no surprise when you take a look at the Inter Miami squad – a squad that contains a number of expert goalscorers.
With that being said, it is worth taking a look at which of these top-class attackers came out on top, when it comes to ranking Inter Miami’s top goalscorers of 2024.
5- Robert Taylor (32 appearances, 6 goals)
The first name on our list is Finnish star Robert Taylor. The versatile 30-year-old enjoyed a successful season at the Chase Stadium, contributing to eight goals in the MLS.
Taylor also managed to strike up a successful partnership with Lionel Messi – with the Argentine assisting him on a number of occasions.
4- Leonardo Campana (35 appearances, 9 goals)
2024 was a landmark year for Leonardo Campana, with the Ecuadorian forward making his 100th appearance for the Herons.
Despite playing back-up to Luis Suarez for the majority of the season, Campana still enjoyed success going forward scoring eight goals in the MLS.
3- Matias Rojas (20 appearances, 9 goals)
Pipping Campana to third place on his goals-per-game record is Paraguayan star Matias Rojas.
Despite not joining until the end of April, the 29-year-old still made a good impact in the final third – notching nine goals, with four of those coming in the Leagues Cup.
2- Lionel Messi (25 apps, 23 goals)
In what was an injury-plagued season for Lionel Messi, the Argentine still managed to score a very impressive 23 goals in just 25 appearances for the Herons.
The eight-time Ballon d’Or finished joint second with Luis Suarez in the MLS goalscoring charts, with a crazy record of 1.05 goals per game.
1- Luis Suarez (37 apps, 25 goals)
Many people have thought Messi would top this list, but it is actually his ex-Barcelona teammate, Luis Suarez who takes the crown of Inter Miami’s top goalscorer of 2024.
The Uruguayan frontman notched 20 goals in the MLS, eventually finishing joint-second in the scoring charts behind DC United’s Christian Benteke. (All stats provided by Transfermarkt).
