Javier Mascherano’s reign as Inter Miami boss is well underway at the Chase Stadium.

The Argentine has not wasted any time since his Vice City arrival, already securing the free agent signing of Fafa Picault from Vancouver Whitecaps.

Gonzalo Lujan and Telasco Segovia also look set to join Inter Miami, as the Herons head coach looks to build his squad ahead of the 2025 season.

With Mascherano’s first-team roster starting to take shape, it has recently been announced who will be joining the former Barcelona star in the dugout.

Inter Miami reveal Javier Mascherano’s coaching staff

Having only previously managed at youth level prior to his Inter Miami appointment, Mascherano isn’t the most experienced of managers.

This means he will no doubt have to lean on the knowledge and know-how of his coaching staff.

In a statement released by Inter Miami, Mascherano will be joined by Lucas Rodríguez Pagano, Leandro Stillitano, and Javier Morales who join as assistant coaches.

Mauro Dobler will join as goalkeeping coach having recently been part of Argentina’s 2024 Copa América-winning coaching staff.

Fitness coach Pablo Blanco also arrives from the Argentina setup alongside video analyst Lucio Stortoni – who will be aided by the returning Erik Marquis.

Javier Morales retains Inter Miami coaching role

Tata Martino’s Inter Miami departure left many wondering whether his staff would follow suit.

Morales however is set to remain in Vice City after agreeing to be part of Mascherano’s coaching setup.

The former midfielder, who racked up 255 MLS appearances during his career, will continue his role as first-team assistant coach having served that role for the past two seasons in 2023 and 2024.

With an impressive 21 playoff appearances to his name, Mascherano’s decision to keep Morales could turn out to be a clever decision, with the former FC Dallas star having a wealth of MLS experience and knowledge.
