News has emerged of when Jordi Alba could return from injury for Inter Miami after picking up a hamstring problem last month.
The 35-year-old defender has been absent from the Herons since Inter Miami’s 3-2 win against Sporting Kansas City, where Alba pulled up in the second-half grabbing his hamstring as the fullback was brought off.
With initial reports indicating that Alba will be out until mid-May, there is a growing chance that the former Spanish international will soon be back in action for Inter Miami after missing the last three games due to injury.
And it appears that a return to the pitch is on the horizon.

Alba nearing Inter Miami return after injury setback
According to journalist Favian Renkel, Alba is now back in training with Inter Miami with a return to first-team action on the cards, with the defender believed to be in good spirits.
Renkel posted about Alba’s return from injury: “According to sources, Jordi Alba trained with the team today. The Spaniard was in high spirits and is nearing his return to the pitch.”
Whilst Inter Miami have won every game since Alba’s injury, there’s no denying that the former FC Barcelona defender coming back into the squad is a massive boost for the Herons.
Indeed, Lionel Messi already looks to be at his best based on current form, and if Alba can slot back unto the starting XI with ease later this month, there’s no telling how many more records the Argentine could break or Inter Miami.

Lionel Messi will be excited to have Alba back this month
Messi is easily on his best run of form yet since joining Inter Miami last year, with the attacker finding the one-game-a-week schedule perfect in limiting fitness problems and issues on his body.
And with Alba returning soon, Messi will be pleased to see the defender back in action, with Luis Suarez and Sergio Busquets also likely to thrive with the left-back returning to the field.
With some big games coming up, Inter Miami will want to win as many points as possible before the summer when Messi and Suarez depart for the Copa America, and Alba can play a huge role in doing just that.
