Minnesota United defender Hugo Bacharach has revealed his dream of facing Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez this season against Inter Miami in MLS.

The 22-year-old Spanish defender was recently signed to a professional contract by the Loons after being drafted from Indiana University having come through La Liga side Villarreal’s academy.

Whilst Minnesota won’t face Inter Miami in the regular season, it’s clear that the arrival of Messi has played a huge role in certain players deciding to make the move to America, with Bacharach one of them.

And speaking to Mundo Depertivo, the young center-back revealed his dream to one day face the likes of Messi and Suarez against Inter Miami, with Bacharach praising the attacking duo.

Indeed, the Inter Miami forwards are arguably the two biggest stars currently in MLS and have inspired numerous players over the years after their emphatic performances for club and country.

And for Bacharach, the Minnesota defender seemingly can’t wait to face the pair, with the Loons potential opponents for Inter Miami in the MLS post-season.

Bacharach said: “I speak on behalf of many people when I say that it is the dream for all of us who have played football since we were little. The arrival of stars makes MLS more attractive, and it will attract more fans and investors.”

The impact of signing Messi has been clear for all to see, with Inter Miami quickly becoming one of the most famous clubs in all of soccer and a real beacon of hope for the sport in the United States.

And comments from the likes of Bacharach show just how far MLS can go with Messi at Inter Miami, with the Argentine superstar a real pull for overseas players looking for a new direction.

Whilst not every player will get to face Messi in MLS, the prospect of sharing the pitch with the greatest of all time will be enough for many top prospects to make the move to the US.
