MLS expert David Gass has suggested that Federico Redondo has made the likes of Luis Suarez better already at Inter Miami this season.
The 21-year-old midfielder joined last month from Argentinos Juniors in what was viewed at the time as a massive coup for the Herons, with Inter Miami beating some of Europe’s biggest clubs to sign Redondo.
Despite only playing a handful of games for Tata Martino’s side, the impact has been massive, with Redondo already looking like he’s way too good to be playing in MLS.
Federico Redondo lauded as ‘special’ after Inter Miami impact

And speaking on Extratime, expert Gass was full of praise for how Redondo has adapted to his new team and how the youngster has already improved the performances of Suarez and Julian Gressel for Inter Miami.
Gass said when asked about Redondo’s first few gamed for Inter Miami: “I love the way he fits into the team. He gives you a ton of ground coverage and flexibility around a lot of guys who can’t do many of those things.
“I think on top of a player of his size to move so elegantly as he does to be so comfortable as an individual is impressive, but now you put him in a team where Busquets has his limits, Suarez isn’t going to play that much, Gressel can’t do the things he does, and it’s quickly unlocked these players to be at their best.
“I think he’s a special player, he makes Inter Miami harder to play against and allows the squad to be at their best in their best positions.”
Luis Suarez and company will benefit hugely from Federico Redondo

Whilst this Inter Miami side are all about the superstars like Lionel Messi and Suarez, it’s pretty clear already that the supporting cast will play a huge role this season.
And none might be greater than Redondo, who in just a few games with Inter Miami already looks like a superstar midfielder in the making and someone who could soon move to Europe.
The Argentine youth international has been nothing short of incredible since moving to Inter Miami this winter, and the Herons might struggle this summer to keep hold of Redondo if his quality performances continue.
