Inter Miami winger Robert Taylor was left speechless after Lionel Messi’s second performance for the Herons, with the Argentine superstar scoring a brace and bagging an assist.
Speaking to BBC Sport, the Finnish international was full of praise for his new superstar teammate, with Taylor also scoring a brace in what was a 4-0 rout against MLS rivals Atlanta United.
The result confirmed Inter Miami’s spot in the round-of-32 for the Leagues Cup and again solidified Messi’s reputation as one of the best players in soccer, with the forward running the show.

Atlanta were helpless against Inter Miami as Messi and Sergio Busquets ran the show against the Five Stripes. And Taylor was lost for words after being assisted by the sporting legend.
The winger said: “He can do everything on the ball. He can keep it in tight spaces, and he makes the right decision 100% of the time. Most of the time he’ll find one of his team-mates.
He brings so much quality to the team, so much. I mean, he’s the best player in the world. This is what he does – he scores two goals, he scored last game, gets another assist. It’s a dream come true to play with him.”
Taylor one of many Inter Miami players who will benefit from Messi

Messi has only been an Inter Miami player for little over two weeks, yet it’s clear already just how much the forward is elevating the game of his new teammates, with Taylor just one of many who will improve in the coming weeks.
A 4-0 win against Atlanta having beaten Cruz Azul last week makes it back-to-back wins for Inter Miami for the first time in months, and things can only better from here.
Indeed, Taylor’s performance and the displays of others will improve with each passing game, and Messi and company now have a real shot at creating something historic this year in Florida.
