Brazilian soccer legend Ronaldo Nazario has now named who he thinks is better between Inter Miami’s Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
The original Ronaldo is regarded as one of the finest strikers to ever play the beautiful game, with the former FC Barcelona and Inter Milan star winning the Ballon d’Or twice as well as two FIFA World Cups.
An inspiration for an entire generation, Ronaldo’s influence on the modern game is clear for all to see, with the former forward still discussed today as one of the best to ever play.

And speaking to the Daily Mail, Ronaldo was asked where he stands on the age-old debate in who is the better player between Messi and Portuguese international Ronaldo.
The two forwards transformed soccer forever with Messi the reigning Ballon d’Or holder having now won the award a record eight times, whilst his Al-Nassr counterpart has claimed the accolade five times.
Yet when asked which player Ronaldo prefers from the two, the now-47-year-old sporting legend named Inter Miami and Argentina captain Messi as his answer in the debate.
Indeed, Ronaldo’s answer is no real surprise given the striker’s former ties to Barcelona, yet Messi once again being backed as the best between the two again puts the Argentine on the highest pedestal possible.
Lionel Messi is simply the greatest to have ever played

We are reaching a stage in Messi’s career where we are now simply running of words to describe the greatest we are witnessing on an almost weekly basis.
Even now aged 36, Messi remains one of the best players on the planet and is showing at Inter Miami why the Herons can become such a force this season in MLS and beyond.
And Ronaldo naming Messi over his historic Portuguese rival is a testament to the Inter Miami star’s greatness, which now knows no bounds at this stage in his career.
