Tom Brady has weighed in on who is the best between Inter Miami captain Lionel Messi and Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo ahead of Super Bowl LVIII.
The two soccer titans are often regarded as the best players of all time, with Messi the most successful player of all time whilst Ronaldo is the all-time men’s goalscorer.
Having played for FC Barcelona and Real Madrid respectively, Messi and Ronaldo’s rivalry is one of the greatest in all of sports, though the Argentine international has arguably pulled out in front in the debate of who is the greatest.

Yet speaking to Twitch streamer IShowSpeed, NFL legend Brady was asked which of the two was the best of all time, with the seven-time Super Bowl champion saying: “I can’t pick between the two.”
Indeed, Brady’s conservative answer is perhaps now real surprise, even with the former quarter-back in involved in soccer as co-chairman of English side Birmingham City.
Yet if the US sporting great was to give a thoughtful answer, there’s no denying that Brady will be picking Messi, who this year will make his Super Bowl ad debut.
Tom Brady’s pre-Super Bowl answer will disappoint Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo

The Messi/Ronaldo debate is arguably one of the biggest and most fiercest in all of sports, with everyone who is anyone seemingly having an option on the two.
Which is why Brady’s answer is so disappointing, especially with the former NFL star now clearly having a knowledge of soccer having invested in English side Birmingham.
Whilst it’s clear who the best player is out of Messi or Ronaldo, Brady backing the Argentine would have added more legitimacy to the claim, with the Inter Miami star clearly the greatest to have ever played.
