Not only did the South Florida-based team sign Lionel Messi, Jordi Alba, Sergio Busquets, but they also won their first title in club history with the Leagues Cup.
Speaking to the media before the Herons officially kick off their off-season, Inter Miami Sporting Director Chris Henderson recapped the 2023 season, touching on a variety of topics, including Miami’s hunger for more
“We’re looking at everything to [improve the squad.] We have high hopes for 2024, and we want to show what we can do as a club,” Henderson stated.
“Winning trophies and having high ambition is something we’ve had since day one.”
This summer, Miami laid the foundation for the potential future success by acquiring Messi, Alba, and Busquets. Additionally, securing the signings of youngsters Tomas Aviles, Facundo Farias, and Diego Gomez gave the Herons the balance they needed on a roster filled with aging vets.
As the next season approaches, expect Miami to be aggressive in player acquisitions.

Inter Miami is a team on a mission.
Henderson made it clear in his press conference, that the club plans on revamping every area of the organization: “We’re evaluating every department in our front office and performance staff, to support [Tata Martino] and his staff and all the players to make sure we’re performing everywhere in the club.”
Miami wants to win more trophies, and in order to do that, a roster revamp is a must. Henderson stated that the club will also be active in the trade market as they look to improve the squad: “Without tipping what we’re going to do in trades, I do feel that we need to have competition in every spot.”
