USMNT superstar Christian Pulisic has now given his verdict on Inter Miami signing Lionel Messi last summer.

The Argentine international stunned the world in 2024 by making the move to MLS after leaving PSG, with Messi inspiring Inter Miami to Leagues Cup glory in the summer.

And the impact has been noticeable, with MLS now in the world’s spotlight and Messi set to take Inter Miami to new heights in the 2024 season.

And speaking to the Athletic, Pulisic has now given his thoughts on Messi’s move to Inter Miami, with the AC Milan winger a huge fan of what the FC Barcelona legend has brought to MLS.

Pulisic said: “I can’t say it’s not expected. He [Messi] is, of course, the best to really ever do it. After having the World Cup he did and then obviously being back in MLS, it’s been fantastic for the league.

“The buzz around the league, around Miami whenever they play, it seems like a big televised game. Players like that are going to bring in fans, new fans to watch the league, and for me it’s only a positive thing.”

As arguably the greatest player to ever grace the game of soccer, it’s perhaps no real surprise that Inter Miami and MLS’s stock has risen considerably in recent months.

The 36-year-old attacker has shown in his limited appearances last season that 2024 could be a year where Inter Miami dominate MLS and potentially the CONCACAF Champions League.

And the league stands to benefit from that, with Messi’s reputation as the greatest of all time will bring eyeballs and revenue to MLS and Inter Miami, which will only help soccer grow in Florida and the United States.
