Luis Suarez finally took the pitch in Inter Miami colors.
On January 13th, Miami began its season preparation at the Florida Blue Training Center. Not only did fans and pundits get a glimpse of Suarez, Lionel Messi, Jordi Alba, and Sergio Busquets, but they also got to hear Suarez’s first words as an Inter Miami player.
Speaking to the media on a balmy Saturday afternoon, the ex-Barcelona spoke on various topics including his fitness, the city of Miami, and why he’s excited to team back up with ex-teammates.
La Banda is back at Inter Miami

In a room packed with media members from all over the globe, Suarez spoke candidly, explaining why he came to MLS and Inter Miami’s ambitions for the season.
“We will find each other again on the pitch,” he said of linking up with Alba, Messi and Busquets again.
“Being able to join them again, it says a lot about our friendship.”
The quadrant played together at Barcelona from 2014 to 2020. It’s no wonder that they’re ecstatic to link up once more.
With Inter Miami set to begin their preseason schedule against El Salvador on January 19th, the men in pink still have time to get acclimated.
But, according to Miami manager Tata Martino, it’s like the four of them never missed a beat: “We finished with 20 minutes of football. It was obvious, in those 20 minutes, that the four of them (Messi, Busquets, Jordi Alba & Suarez) have not forgotten how to play together. 20 minutes of beautiful football.”
