Inter Miami could add another Argentinian to its ranks.
According to Argentine radio station Radio Continental, Miami is reportedly in talks to bring River Plate captain Enzo Perez to the team.
Perez, 37, has been a mainstay in Los Millonarios’ lineup this year, starting in 20 games for head coach Martín Demichelis.
However, despite his influence on the team, Perez’s contract is set to expire this winter. Radio Continental claims that Inter Miami could be after his services this off-season.
This wouldn’t be the first time Perez was linked with a move to Miami.
In July of this year, TYC Sports reported that the Herons were interested in bringing the ex-Valencia man to the team. The move didn’t work out then, but as Inter Miami revamps its squad for 2024, Perez looks to be in the club’s sights once more.
Inter Miami roster revamp to include Enzo Perez?

Should Miami bring Perez to the team, he’d be a welcome addition.
Although he’ll turn 38 in February, Perez is still a physical player and would be the ideal midfielder to pair alongside the more cerebral Sergio Busquets.
Additionally, Perez has played with and against Messi in the past.
Furthermore, his experience playing in the 2018 World Cup, La Liga, and Argentina’s Primera División would positively affect the younger players on Inter Miami’s roster.
As the club gets ready for 2024, they’ll need the extra depth. The Herons will be playing in several international and domestic competitions next season, and squad rotation will be of utmost importance if they want to be successful.
Ultimately, it will be up to Inter Miami’s front office to bring Perez to the team. But if the organization brings the Argentine to the club, then the Herons will have another midfielder to rely on.
