Former Chelsea and Real Madrid star Eden Hazard is reportedly considering retiring from soccer despite interest from Inter Miami in a move.
Miami had expressed an interest in the 32-year-old earlier in the summer following his release from Real Madrid, and the club now have an extra International roster space, with a deal for Luis Suarez falling apart.
Hazard had a nightmare time at Real Madrid following his £100m transfer in 2019, and his early release from the club highlights how far the career of the superstar has fallen. Miami could offer him the chance to play with Lionel Messi and find his form again, but such a move may not happen now.
A report from AS has claimed that the winger is considering retirement from the game, having failed to discover his form and following years of injury struggles.
Could Hazard join Inter Miami?
Whilst a move could be possible thanks to the International roster slot, Hazard would likely have to take a huge reduction on the salary he earned at Real Madrid, and a move may not even be worthwhile given his poor form over the last few seasons.

His arrival could provide an extra commercial boost, given his association with Chelsea and Real Madrid as a global superstar, but if he cannot solve his fitness issues, he may not be of value to the squad.
Any deal, therefore, seems a long way off, and whilst the prospect of Hazard and Messi playing together could be exciting, it may be more appealing in theory than in reality.
Messi once described Hazard as a “great player” during his time at Madrid, and the idea of two elite dribblers playing in the same side could be amazing, but it has been some time since the Belgian was at his unstoppable best.
