Former FC Barcelona midfielder Arturo Vidal has said he is open to joining Inter Miami to reunite with the likes of Lionel Messi.

Speaking to TNT Argentina, the 36-year-old Chilean international revealed that he would happily make the move to Florida to play with Messi, with Vidal currently playing in Brazil with Athletico Paranaense.

Regarded as one of the best midfielders in the 2010s, Vidal spent two seasons with Barcelona alongside Messi, Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba, winning the 2019 La Liga title.

With Inter Miami now one of the most famous clubs on the planet since Messi’s arrival, former teammates of the Argentine are now lining up to join the MLS franchise.

And Vidal has now offered his services, with the midfielder saying: “I would happily go and play with Messi. With him it’s very easy, you just have to pass him the ball.

“I would be delighted to play with Leo, Busquets, they play by heart and now Inter Miami plays like that too, with a good coach in Tata.”

Despite being 36, Vidal’s resume should be enough to convince the Inter Miami front office that the midfielder would be a good signing for next season.

The Chilean is one of the most experienced midfielders still playing at a top level, and as a former teammate of Messi’s, Vidal is aware of how the Argentine operates.

Moreover, as a big name himself, Vidal would be another huge commercial capture for Inter Miami, with the former Juventus and Bayern Munich star still a huge name in South America and in Europe.
