Botafogo have reportedly identified Inter Miami midfielder Gregore as a top transfer target for the January window.
The 29-year-old Brazilian midfielder spent the majority of last season out on the treatment table, though Inter Miami did opt to extend Gregore’s contract by an extra year to 2025.
However, that hasn’t stopped clubs from registering an interest in signing the Inter Miami star, with a number of Brazilian clubs believed to be keen on Gregore.

And according to Folha do Leste, Botafogo are the latest team to chase Gregore, with the Rio de Janeiro-based club making the MLS midfielder one of their top targets.
Indeed, with Gregore now back to full fitness, the former EC Bahia midfielder could be set for an incredible year in MLS alongside the likes of Sergio Busquets.
Yet with a top Brazilian club in Botafogo now interested in signing Gregore, the 29-year-old could be tempted to return back to his home country if an offer is made in the coming days.
Gregore should reject Botafogo to stay with Inter Miami

Having endured a season from hell out on the treatment table, it makes sense why Gregore could now be weighing up a potential return to Brazil with Botafogo.
However, with the midfielder now fit and healthy and Inter Miami early favourites to win MLS Cup this year, Gregore would be making a potential mistake in leaving Florida this January.
Moreover, the 29-year-old is clearly a beloved figure in the Inter Miami squad, and Gregore could establish himself as an ideal midfield partner for Busquets in the 2024 season.
