Inter Miami have reportedly identified Leonel Di Placido as a potential replacement for DeAndre Yedlin after trading the defender to FC Cincinnati.
The Herons last week made the decision to move on the USA international to MLS rivals Cincinnati, with Inter Miami now without a natural right-back in the entire squad.
Transfer rumors have exploded in recent days with Inter Miami linked with the likes of Marcelo Weigandt and Juan Jose Caceres, and another name has now been added to the list.
Inter Miami tracking Leonel Di Placido as right-back cover

According to TyC Sports, 30-year-old Lanus defender Di Placido is being watched by Inter Miami, with the right-back recently returning to Lanus after an unsuccessful loan spell with Brazilian side Botafogo.
With Inter Miami struggling to find a replacement for Yedlin, Di Placido could emerge as a good option for the Herons, with the fullback a one-time Argentine call-up back in 2018.
A regular in the South American top-flights, Di Placido has the quality needed to thrive in MLS and around his fellow countrymen in Lionel Messi, Nicolas Freire and Federico Redondo.
Indeed, with Di Placido just returning to Lanus, there’s a chance that the Argentine side could allow the defender to leave for cheap, with Inter Miami desperate to bring in an able right-back.
Inter Miami didn’t plan out DeAndre Yedlin’s departure one bit

A defender lauded once for his ‘unreal’ pace, Inter Miami knew that they needed a plan in place for the day Yedlin was traded, something that was seemingly in the works for quite some time.
Which is why Inter Miami again look rather silly now as the Herons continue to look for a replacement for Yedlin, a player who should have been replaced the second his transfer was announced.
It’s yet another annoying episode in Inter Miami’s transfer history, and whilst there is time to secure a replacement, the Herons know they should have done better to cover for Yedlin’s departure.
