Silly season is upon Inter Miami.
Since Miami joined Major League Soccer in 2020, they’ve been linked to every high-profile player.
From Edison Cavani back in 2019, to now with Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez on the roster, the Herons will forever be a club where world-class players want to play.
Messi’s signing for the club last summer made waves. Not only is his presence within the organization the greatest recruiting tool, but the players are willing to take pay cuts to play alongside the legend.
Now, there’s a new name linked with a move to the South Florida club.
Could Miami bring ex-Liverpool starlet to the team?
According to AS, Inter Miami was reportedly interested in the services Philippe Coutinho.
However, an MLS beat reporter contacted the club to see if the rumors were true. Unfortunately for Inter Miami supporters, there was no truth to the speculation.
Though it would’ve been cool to see Coutinho link back up with his ex-Barcelona teammates, it would’ve taken Miami a lot of hoops to bring him to the US.
Despite the circulating rumors, Miami has already had an eventful off season.
They already signed Luis Suarez and are in talks to bring in coveted free-agent wing back Julian Gressel.
Ultimately, Inter Miami still has a month and a half to add to its roster. Though the transfer business is a tad slow, it’s only a matter of time before the men in pink continue to grow.
