Inter Miami have reportedly offered a contract to a former Manchester United player ahead of the summer transfer window.
The Herons have quickly established themselves as one of the most exciting projects in all of soccer after last year’s arrival of Lionel Messi, with big names such as Sergio Ramos and Neymar all being linked with Inter Miami since the Argentine’s move to Florida.
With Luis Suarez signing for Inter Miami earlier this year, Tata Martino’s side has the potential to become one of the best if MLS goes ahead with proposed spending changes, with the Herons seemingly already making moves to bring in another high-profile name.

Inter Miami make contract offer to sign Argentine goalkeeper Sergio Romero
According to journalist Martin Liberman, Inter Miami have made a contract offer to sign Argentine goalkeeper and current Boca Juniors star Sergio Romero, who spent four years at English giants Manchester United.
A former Argentina number one, Romero is best remembered for starting between the sticks for the South American giants at the 2014 FIFA World Cup, where Messi and his nation made it all the way to the final before losing to Germany.
Liberman wrote on Twitter about Inter Miami’s interest in Romero: “Bombshell in Boca. They tell me that Inter Miami wants Sergio Romero, Boca’s goalkeeper, and offered him a great contract.
“The goalkeeper and his family like the idea of living and playing in the USA. He would not renew with Boca and would go to the MLS. Boca would look for a goalkeeper.”
Sergio Romero would be a strange signing for the Herons

At 37-years-old, Romero is very much in the twilight of his career, one that has taken the goalkeeper to the Premier League to Serie A with Sampdoria and Venezia to the Dutch league with AZ Alkmaar.
Yet for Inter Miami, signing Romero would be viewed by many a quite an odd addition, especially with current goalkeeper Drake Callender now a regular for the USMNT and one of the more better MLS goalkeepers.
Indeed, Romero would certainly be a big name, yet given what Inter Miami actually need in the squad, the Boca Juniors veteran would arguably be a poor signing for what Martino needs.
