Inter Miami are reportedly in talks to sign Luis Suarez, a former teammate of Lionel Messi’s and one of the most prolific strikers in the 21st Century.
According to journalist Gaston Edul, discussions between the MLS franchise and the 36-year-old striker are progressing well, with Suarez now seemingly on course to become the latest player who has featured heavily in Messi’s career to join the Argentine in Florida.
Suarez partnered the Argentine alongside Brazilian superstar Neymar in one of the greatest attacking threes European soccer has ever seen, with the trio famously guiding FC Barcelona to the UEFA Champions League in a historic treble-winning season.
And now, the forward could be reunited with Messi at Inter Miami, a prospect that will excite a lot of supporters as well as provide Tata Martino with another incredible weapon in the attack, with Josef Martinez already in their ranks alongside Leonardo Campana.
Suarez and Messi could fire Inter Miami to MLS glory

Suarez and Messi formed two-thirds of arguably the best attacking-trio soccer has ever seen. And whilst the Uruguayan superstar is past his best, there’s no denying that the striker can offer a lot to Inter Miami heading into the second half of the season.
Indeed, the forward has impressed greatly at Gremio this year after a short stint in his native homeland with Nacional. And in Florida, Suarez can end his career alongside one of his best-ever teammates in Messi in a league where his talents will be greatly appreciated.
