Inter Miami have reportedly made a formal offer to sign River Plate midfielder Agustin Palavecino.
The Herons are on the lookout for a creative talisman to partner alongside Sergio Busquets in the midfield, with Tata Martino keen to provide support for Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez.
And it appears that Inter Miami’s search has taken them to South America with Palavecino with the 27-year-old Argentine a regular for River Plate since joining from Deportivo Cali in 2021.

According to Sport, the MLS franchise have made a formal offer to sign Palavecino, with the South American giants yet to respond to the bid from Inter Miami.
As per the report, Inter Miami hope Palavecino can provide the ‘magical’ spark that’s been missing from their midfield in recent years, with talks ongoing.
Indeed, with central defence arguably a more important issue for Inter Miami, a move for Palavecino is certainly an interesting decision, though there’s no denying that the Argentine could be a good signing.
Agustin Palavecino could be influential for Inter Miami

With 37 appearances in all competitions for River Plate last season, it’s clear that Palavecino is a player who could adapt to MLS with the drop of a hat this year.
And with Inter Miami now in talks, it could be a matter of days before the 27-year-old is announced as a new Heron, with River Plate yet to reject the offer.
As for what Palavecino can bring to Inter Miami, the midfielder will bring a creative presence to Martino’s side, with Busquets finally having a partner who can drive forward and feed off his soccer intelligence.
