Inter Miami have reportedly made an opening offer to sign Argentinos Juniors midfielder Federico Redondo, with Real Madrid also chasing the youngster.
The 21-year-old has emerged as one of South America’s most exciting prospects, with Redondo drawing comparisons to current Inter Miami midfielder and former FC Barcelona star Sergio Busquets.
The son of former Real Madrid star and Argentine international Fernando Redondo, the promising midfielder has caught the attention of some of the biggest clubs in Europe, such as Los Blancos and Liverpool.

Yet according to Sport, Inter Miami have made the first move to sign Redondo, with the Herons making a $5m offer for the Madrid-born prospect as Tata Martino looks to add to his midfielder.
However, as per the report, this bid has already been shot down by Argentinos Juniors, with the South American club wanting at least $10m for Redondo this January.
With so much competition out there already for Redondo, Inter Miami winning the race would be a massive result for the Herons, and the Florida franchise could well do it.
Inter Miami have to meet the demands to sign Federico Redondo

With Messi believed to be a fan of Redondo as per Sport’s original report, it’s no real wonder why Inter Miami have made an ambitious first move to sign the midfielder.
Although the Argentine youth international could cost as much as $10m, the investment could be worth it for Inter Miami, especially if massive clubs like Real Madrid are also chasing the midfielder.
Indeed, the Herons have already made some huge statements this January in the form of Luis Suarez and Julian Gressel, with Inter Miami having one of the strongest sides in North America.
And adding Redondo would complete the squad, with Busquets in need of a perfect midfield partner heading into the new MLS season.
