Inter Miami are reportedly interested in signing Indonesia international Justin Hubner, who is currently with Premier League side Wolves.

The 20-year-old defender is regarded as one of the most exciting prospects in the English top-flight, with Hubner already training with Wolves’ senior team, who this season have impressed under Gary O’Neil.

With Inter Miami in the market for a new defender following the departure of DeAndre Yedlin, the Herons have seemingly expanded their search after links to numerous South American players.

And according to Indonesian-based publication Oke Bola, the Herons are interested in Hubner, who has teased in recent days that he will be leaving Wolves.

Lauded by Target Scouting as an ‘excellent’ athlete and defensive prospect, there’s a lot to like about Hubner, who would add a lot to Inter Miami’s center-back and fullback options.

And with the 20-year-old himself teasing a move away from the Premier League, Inter Miami could be in the conversation to sign Hubner, especially with the Herons already doing business with Wolves in the past.

Indeed, Leonardo Campana was signed by Inter Miami from Wolves initially on loan before the MLS franchise made the transfer permanent, and the Herons could pursue a similar deal for Hubner.

Premier League prospects heading to MLS for a taste of senior football isn’t a new concept, with many top-rated youngsters swapping England for America a trend that seems to be growing by the year.

Yet Inter Miami are yet to really jump on the wave, yet that could change with the potential signing of Hubner, who could be ideal for the Florida franchise.

The Indonesia international would add physicality and an aerial presence to Inter Miami’s backline, and Hubner will give the Herons more options across the defense for the new season.
