Inter Miami’s roster build isn’t done yet.
Though the men in pink acquired the likes of Luis Suarez, Julian Gressel, and soon-to-be defender Nicolas Freire, it looks like there’s one more player they could be after.
According to Germán García Grova, Miami is once again after River Plate midfielder Agustín Palavecino.
“The offer from Inter Miami for Agustin Palavecino is a loan with a purchase option,” the tweet said.
“The midfielder from River is aware of the negotiations and is awaiting news from his agent.”
Miami reportedly initially first launched a bid for the 27-year-old a couple of days ago. But due to financial constraints, it appears the Herons will only be able to offer a loan deal with an option to buy instead.
Palavecino to Inter Miami?

Though many Inter Miami fans are scratching their with the move, looking at the team’s roster makeup, it makes sense.
For one, Messi will be gone with the Argentine national team during periods this year. Although Palavecino isn’t the same caliber as Messi, his skills as an attacking midfielder will help supplement the loss of the World Cup winner.
Furthermore, should Palavecino come to Miami on loan, it won’t be as much of a cap hit compared to an outright purchase.
Miami is kicking off their preseason on January 19th against El Salvador. Though there’s still plenty of time before the season starts, the Herons have time to add to the squad.
