Inter Miami’s roster continues to grow.

After signing seven Academy players to the first team, the Herons had two more youngsters waiting on the wings.

On January 10th, Miami announced the signings of two Academy players, Tyler Hall and Israel Boatwright.

Hall and Boatwright were both standouts in Inter Miami’s Academy before making the jump to the club’s reserve team, Inter Miami CF II.

Now, the duo will get the opportunity to get real first-team minutes in 2024.

“Tyler has shown tremendous promise since he joined the Club years ago, and we’re very happy to see him fulfill the dream of every Academy player in making this step to a First Team contract,” said club Sporting Director Chris Henderson.

“He has proven himself to be a high-quality young player and a budding leader, and we are excited to continue his development at the MLS level.”

As for Boatwright, Henderson was equally excited about the young right back.

“This is another sign of progress for our development pathway as we continue to emphasize the importance of cultivating South Florida’s local youth talent at Inter Miami.”

“Israel has been with us since the Club’s inception and we’re proud to see him take this next step on his journey. We will continue to work with him and all of our young talents to help them find success at the First Team level.”

This Boatwright and Hall become the 8th and 9th Academy players to sign for the first team alongside Noah Allen, Ian Fray, Benjamin Cremaschi, David Ruiz, Santiago Morales, Felipe Valencia, and Edison Azcona.

It remains to be seen if Hall and Boatwright will contribute significant minutes. However, due to Miami’s lack of true defensive options, the pair may see the field more often than not.
