Jordi Alba will reportedly be unveiled as a new Inter Miami player on Tuesday, with the defender to be showcased at the club’s Fort Lauderdale headquarters.
According to the Athletic’s Felipe Cardenas, the Spanish international and former FC Barcelona superstar will officially join Inter Miami tomorrow, joining former teammates Lionel Messi and Sergio Busquets at the club.
Alba’s arrival to MLS has been an open secret for some time, with Inter Miami only confirming the transfer a few weeks ago. Yet tomorrow will finally see the defender in Herons colors for the first time.
The left-back is one of the most decorated players in modern soccer history, with Alba winning six league titles with Barcelona as well as the 2015 UEFA Champions League.
With the 34-year-old also close to 100 international appearances with Spain, Alba brings even more experience and world-class quality to Inter Miami’s squad, where the fullback will work wonders alongside Messi and Busquets.

Alba as been one of the best fullbacks in European soccer for some time, and in the twilight of his career, the defender could still have a few more years at the top in MLS with Inter Miami.
And Tata Martino’s side could do with a defender like Alba, with Inter Miami one of the worst sides in the division in terms of conceding goals and failing to keep shut outs.
Yet that’s where Alba comes into the picture. And with the defender set to be unveiled tomorrow, the fullback could be another huge addition for Inter Miami in their quest to conquer MLS and beyond.
