Luis Suarez is reportedly ready to pay off his Gremio contract in order to sign for Inter Miami this summer.
According to Mundo Deportivo, the 36-year-old striker is desperate to join the MLS franchise this window, with Suarez now willing to return the last six months of his salary with Gremio to complete a move as soon as possible.
The attacker has been strongly linked with a move to Inter Miami after Lionel Messi officially signed for the club earlier this month, with former FC Barcelona teammates Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba also joining.
And Suarez could be the next superstar name to take his talents to Florida, with the Uruguayan striker now seemingly willing to do anything within his power to secure a move to Inter Miami.
The attacker’s contract with Gremio is due to expire in 2024 with many expecting Suarez to move to MLS in January. However, the forward appears to have other career plans.
Indeed, Suarez seems intent on reuniting with Messi and company as easily as possible. And this latest contract decision, as drastic as it is, could be the golden key to securing a transfer this summer.
