Gremio’s manager has all-but confirmed that Luis Suarez will leave the club in 2024, amid ongoing links to Inter Miami.
Speaking to AS, the Brazilian coach revealed that the Uruguay international will leave Gremio at the end of this season, with Suarez already having plans for 2024.
The former FC Barcelona star has been strongly linked with a move to Inter Miami as the Herons continue their Lionel Messi-inspired rebuild going into the new year.
And Suarez is set to become the latest superstar player to join the franchise, with Gremio’s manager now confirming that the striker is due to leave Brazil.
Gaucho said: “It will take a miracle [for Suarez to stay]. He already has plans for 2024. He made that clear a few months ago and I’m not expecting a miracle.
“It’s his decision. I’d like him to stay, but we have to be honest with our fans. If he ends up staying, it’ll be a miracle, and that miracle comes down to him.”
Inter Miami need to announce Suarez signing ASAP
Rumor season is officially upon us in Inter Miami Land, and the sooner Suarez is announced, the quicker the club can move on to more important targets.
The striker joining Inter Miami is now more-or-less an open secret, with an official statement the only thing that’s missing from such a transfer saga.
And the Herons will be going everybody a lot of good if they choose to announce the deal now, with Suarez clearly on his way to Florida to reunite with Messi and company.
