An MLS rival could reportedly drop their interest in signing legendary Spanish defender Sergio Ramos after rumored links to Inter Miami.
The Herons are one of many clubs believed to be chasing the 38-year-old center-back, with Ramos now a free agent having left Sevilla at the end of last season once his contract expired with the La Liga giants.
With Saudi Arabia clubs interested in signing Ramos, Inter Miami face a lot of competition this summer in trying to sign the former Real Madrid superstar, even with the United States looking like a realistic destination for the defender.
And an MLS rival have seemingly pulled out of the race to sign Ramos.

San Diego FC could drop out of the race to sign Ramos
According to the Athletic, San Diego FC could soon drop their interest in signing Ramos, with talks starting to stall between the newly established MLS franchise and the former Sevilla and PSG defender.
The soon-to-be California side have been linked with Ramos for quite some time, with San Diego eying the center-back as one of their three big-name Designated Player signings having already landed Mexico international Hirving Lozano.
However, this update could throw the door wide open for Inter Miami to take pole position again in the race to sign Ramos, who could be open to moving to Florida this summer.
Indeed, a reunion with Lionel Messi might also be a tempting prospect for Ramos, and with Inter Miami in the market for a defender, the iconic Spanish center-back could be a dream addition for the Herons for this position.

Inter Miami have to move for Ramos in the coming weeks
Inter Miami have been somewhat quiet in the summer market despite the big moves that are currently happening across the globe, with the Herons biding their time and waiting to strike at the right moment.
And with San Diego seemingly out of the race to sign Ramos, the Herons simply have to move in for the legendary defender in the coming weeks, who could be a sensational signing for Tata Martino’s side this summer.
Ramos is arguably the most well-known center-back in world football and a global brand that will attract new fans to Inter Miami, and the Florida franchise stands with a good chance of signing the defender if they make their move soon.
