Inter Miami star Josef Martinez is the subject of interest from newly promoted Premier League side Luton Town, who could pay £10m ($13m) for the striker.
The 30-year-old is a key player for Miami, having arrived as a designated player after an incredible spell at Atlanta United, in which he scored 104 times in 154 games.
Reports in England have now reported that Luton are keen on breaking their transfer record to sign the Venezuelan forward, with Miami willing to sell at the right price.
However, Martinez may not want to leave the club now, with the lure of playing alongside Lionel Messi and Sergio Busquets perhaps tempting him to stay.
Should Miami sell Martinez?
Although Martinez has sometimes been a shining light in an otherwise dismal season at times, he is currently occupying one of three available designated player slots, with the other two now taken by Messi and Busquets.
If Miami can shift him and gain money in the process, they could bring in another high-profile star. Former Barcelona hero Luis Suarez has been linked, and he could join his former teammates at the club as they attempt to help Miami off the bottom of the table.

Martinez has also been far from his usual self in front of goal for Miami, with six strikes in 24 appearances for the club. If Gerardo Martino’s side can swap him for Suarez, whilst also making a transfer profit, it could represent good business for the club.
Whilst it may be a shame to see Martinez leave so soon, this may be the best offer Miami get for an ageing player, and they may have to seriously consider it in their bid to find their winning form again.
Martinez has previously played in Europe with Torino and Young Boys, and could be set for a Premier League adventure with Luton.
