Raphael Varane has reportedly chosen which team he wants to join this summer between Como 1907 and Inter Miami.
The French defender has been approached by both sides this summer, with David Beckham launching a move to sign Varane after his release from Manchester United, with newly-promoted Serie A side Como also moving in for the center-back.
Having starred for the Red Devils, Real Madrid and the France national team over the last decade, Varane moving to Inter Miami would have been seen as another incredible signing for the Herons after last year’s capture of Lionel Messi.
And the defender has now seemingly decided who he wants to join this summer.

Varane has accepted Como’s proposal despite Inter Miami interest
According to Fabrizio Romano, Varane has said yes to Como’s proposal on joining the Italian side, with Inter Miami set to miss out on the 31-year-old defender this summer.
Romano posted: “Raphael Varane says yes to Como proposal! The deal is on the verge of being completed. Project approved but it will take some days to review the contracts then subject to medical, and then, here we go. Cesc Fabregas, key for this deal.”
With Inter Miami in the market for a defender having lost Nicolas Freire to a season-ending ACL injury, missing out on Varane will be viewed by many as a big blow for the Herons this summer.
Indeed, Varane ticks every box Tata Martino is looking for in signing a new defender, and the Frenchman accepting Como’s proposal means a return to the drawing board for the Florida franchise.

Inter Miami need to find an alternative to Varane ASAP
Varane looked like the dream transfer target for Inter Miami this summer, with the defender a superstar name who would have filled in a key position for the Herons in their quest to win MLS Cup.
Yet with Varane now making the surprise move to Italy, Inter Miami have to return to the scouting database and find an alternative to the 31-year-old, with the window opening soon for MLS teams.
The 2018 FIFA World Cup winner would have been the perfect signing for Inter Miami, yet with Varane off the market, a new option must be identified for Inter Miami in their quest to land a new defender.
