Inter Miami-linked Sergio Ramos could now reportedly leave Sevilla due to a recent transfer revelation surrounding the defender.

The legendary Spanish center-back has been rumored with an exit from the La Liga side for quite some some time, with Ramos‘ agent reportedly flying to the United States over Easter to meet with clubs over a potential summer transfer.

With Inter Miami linked with a move to Ramos, it only makes sense that Florida could be the 38-year-old defender’s next destination, especially with the Spanish icon’s contract with Sevilla expiring at the end of this season.

And a new update could shed some more light on where Ramos ends up this summer.

Ramos could leave Sevilla this summer amid pay-rise dispute

According to Relevo, Ramos could leave Sevilla with the Andalusian club unwilling to give the veteran defender a pay-rise, even with the former Real Madrid captain earning just €2m ($2.15m) a year.

As per the report, Sevilla’s financial situation means there’s a growing chance that Ramos could depart at the end of the season, and a move to MLS is on the cards, with Saudi Arabian clubs also interested.

Indeed, with Inter Miami expected to spend big yet again in the summer, Ramos would be a sensational signing for the Herons as well as another high-profile name to add to their growing roster.

And having previously played with Lionel Messi at PSG, Ramos’ arrival would be another key addition in helping get the best out of the Inter Miami captain, who this season has flourished alongside Luis Suarez and Sergio Busquets.

Inter Miami should really push to sign Ramos this summer

At 38, Ramos has one big move left in him in what has been a glittering career for the former Spanish international, and Inter Miami could be that club for the iconic defender.

The Herons could do with a top-class center-back heading into the second-half of the season, with Inter Miami having one of the leakiest defenses in MLS despite sitting top of the Eastern Conference and the Supporters’ Shield.

And in Ramos, they will have the short-term cover they need to close out the season, with the defender likely to be open to a move to Inter Miami if an agreement can be reached.
