Inter Miami is set to play in front of a raucous crowd.

The Herons are laying the foundation for an exciting 2024 season. After missing out on the playoffs in 2023, the South Florida club is fixing the mistakes that plagued them last year.

We’re looking at everything to [improve the squad.] We have high hopes for 2024, and we want to show what we can do as a club,” said Inter Miami Sporting Director Chris Henderson.

“Winning trophies and having high ambition is something we’ve had since day one.”

Already, Miami has added to their squad by signing striker Luis Suarez and wing back Julian Gressel. Furthermore, the men in pink were also reportedly after Boca Juniors midfielder Cristian Medina.

Unfortunately, that move didn’t come to fruition, but that won’t stop the excitement building for the Herons.

According to the LA Galaxy, Inter Miami’s match against the California-based team sold out quickly:

Though this won’t be Miami’s home opener, the excitement is palpable.

Inter Miami will kick off its fifth season in Major League Soccer against Real Salt Lake at home on February 21st, just five days after their 25,000 preseason trip ends.

Many Miami fans are concerned about the amount of miles the Herons will put in, but according to Manager Tata Martino, they’ll be rotating the side:

“The positive aspect of the club is our effort to harmonize both situations without excessively favoring one side over the other,” he said

“In instances where we have an excess of matches, we will need to regulate the players’ participation time in each game.”
